Our beautiful Daydream Fairy Collection, designed by Marlene O'Reilly, launches with a workshop to bead your own Autumn and/or Halloween fairy. You can choose which fairy you make, or buy both.

Size 15 seed beads are used throughout so experience is essential.

Join Kathryn and Marlene on Sunday 13th September 2026 10am - 4.00pm (please book by 6th September) for a full day of beading fun.

Just in time for my Stitch of the Month, I have updated my technique sheet for Flat Herringbone Weave. It's free to download or you can order a printed copy (printing and postage charges apply).

My newest pattern and kit is this Waterlily Napkin or LED Tealight Cover in stunning colours of purples and yellow. The full kit is just £9.50. Technically it tubular herringbone, but hey, whose worried, as full instructions are provided using words and diagrams.

If you are feeling patriotic, you will also find my St George's Flag pattern on the website that uses flat herringbone weave and is free to download.

I'm doing a Right Angle Weave workshop here in The Beading Room to make a simple scissor fob, and you will leave with a better understanding of this fabulous stitch and be able to create many more exciting projects.

Introducing our latest design - Waterlily. You can choose to make a napkin ring or cover an LED tea light using Miyuki seed beads and Czech daggers. A glass pearl is added in the centre of the napkin ring, with the artifical flame of the tea light fitting perfectly instead.

Available as a full kit with the pattern (£9.50) and bead colours shown or an additional materials pack with no pattern (£6.00).

Saturday 1st August 2026 : 1.00pm to 4.00pm

Workshop is suitable for adults with lots, little or no experience. Photographs show just a selection of the projects that will be available on the day.

Come and join your tutor Kathryn Halfpenney here in The Beading Room to discover this wonderful art of beadweaving. After an introduction to the equipment, materials, and techniques, you can spend a little time selecting your kit from several that will be available. After a short break for refreshments you can get started on your chosen piece and work at your own pace before the workshop ends at 4pm. Please note that if you have not finished your beadwork, then you will have gained all the confidence you need to finish it at home.

Please book by Saturday 25th July. After booking (max 2 working days) you will receive an email confirmation with more information about the workshop and directions.
