For the love of guitar music. Guitars are made mostly of wood and wood is not inert.

If you are looking at this you will probably own or are thinking of owning at least 1 guitar. If you already do then you will almost certainly have had the odd issue with it. It can be affected by both heat and moisture which can affect the way it plays. You may also find that the guitar may not have been properly setup in the first place. Does it suffer from buzzes and rattles? Are the fret ends

sharp and uncomfortable? Do you find that you have to press the strings down onto the fretboard with considerable force? Maybe the sound which was so clear and sharp at the beginning has now gone dull and lifeless. Do you get a crackle every time you turn the volume or tone control? Maybe one of the pickups isn’t working any more. I am a keen guitar and bass player and have been setting up and repairing guitars for several years. I specialise in guitar setup but I am happy to undertake almost any job. Standard setup will include string change, fret and fretboard cleaning and fret polishing, general cleaning and review of all the working elements of the guitar. String action height to clients request and intonation set. I can also setup vibrato bridges, fret levelling and fret end finishing. Any electrical work such as pickup and potentiometer replacement and rewiring. I have also done some body and neck repairs and have undertaken some refinishing work. Please look at some of the images here which will show you some of the guitars I have worked on and I will describe what has been done to them. If you have any questions or require any advice please contact me. I would be happy for a small cost to review your guitar and let you know what if any work is required and the cost.

Hi everyone

I am really sorry I have been offline for so long but my time has been taken up with work and family issues. I am now back and am going to start posting again soon. I am also going to complete my video series on building my bass kit guitar on my Youtube channel as soon as I can start editing the footage again. Good morning all. As I commented recently I have not been able to keep on top of my pages as I have been busy with a new job and I can only apologise to anyone who has been trying to get in touch with me over the last couple of months, I am now in a position to be able to monitor this on a regular basis now so it shouldn't happen again. Lets hear from you.

Hi all. Just finished a complete setup on a rather nice Ibanez RG421EX. Needed new strings (D'Addario NY XL) but also I found it needed some fret re-levelling, re-crowning and polishing, the neck relief to be sorted (it had almost none) and the action to be re-set. I am happy to say the owner is delighted. I have videod most of this work and hope to post it soon. In the mean time here it is.
