Tim's been updating our folders, and this week's Combo of the Week is an oldie but a goodie. Look at this Charismatic Wumpus. What is a Wumpus? We don't know, but this one is a charming young scallywag. Just one activation will lure all* your opponents creatures to your side, after which they get to be on the winning team and your opponents are left sobbing at such Wumpus related shenanigannery.

Combo available in our folders... for now.

*Alright not quite all... some of your opponents' creatures might die, following which your opponents surely will too.

It's Hobbit Week at The Games Shop Aldershot!*

What does that mean? Well, we have prerelease on Friday night, twice on Saturday, then a regular and a 2 headed giant prerelease on Sunday. If you want to sign up to them, there are still some spots left, but they are moving fast. Send us a message and we can book you in.

On top of that from Friday we have boosters, boxes, and even singles of the new set for sale! The Lord of the Rings set was a massive hit, so we if you are looking for cards, we suggest you don't sleep on this quest.

*Just because it's Hobbit week does not mean you are allowed to show up without footwear. As always, no shoes, no service😉.

Looking to learn to play Magic: The Gathering? At The Games Shop we can help!

Our regular Magic expert Tim is happy to take you through the basics of the game with some welcome decks and get you up to speed and playing. He has probably taught more people to play than he has drank cups of coffee in his life - how many people can say that?

The best time to learn is on one of our regularly scheduled 'Learn to play sessions from 2-4pm on a Sunday, but if you're keen to learn, we're keen to teach! Drop us a message and we can schedule you in for a first taster session, and get the Magic started.

It's Tim's Combo of the week, and this week we're looking ahead to the Hobbit set, whose prerelease is just a few weeks away!

The Great Goblin gets to throw a lot of damage around if you put counters on your orcs and goblins, and there are few more efficient ways of doing so than with 'the other Krenko' - the one that lets you stack up a lot of counters just by sacrificing an artifact or two. If you're looking to take your goblin deck in a different direction, or perhaps hoping to open a Smaug, consider signing up with us for one of our prereleases of The Hobbit, which should prove to be a blast!
