Tanglewood Guitars Are Back – Get In Quick!

We've just had a massive delivery of Tanglewood guitars, and many of our most popular models are now back in stock. If you've been waiting on a particular model, now is the time to act — these guitars never stick around long at these prices.

The photo above? That's just what came out of the first box we opened. There are many more where that came from.

We're adding the new stock to our inventory right now, and items will be appearing on our website and other sales channels including Reverb and eBay as we work through them. So whether you shop with us online or on your favourite marketplace, keep an eye out — they'll be going live shortly.

Delivery days are a bit like Christmas for us here at Music Bits. We get to unpack crate after crate of gorgeous musical instruments — it's genuinely one of the highlights of the job. Of course, that excitement is quickly followed by a fair amount of work getting everything ready for sale. But it's always a pleasure, because every guitar that leaves our shop is well set up and playable right out of the box. That's something we take real pride in.

Don't miss out — head over to our guitars collection and grab yours before they're gone.

🎸 Did you know a guitar strap isn't just for standing up?

If your guitar keeps sliding around mid-practice, a strap could be the most underrated upgrade you make — even when you're sitting down.

Using a strap seated keeps your guitar locked in position, improves your posture, and means your hands can focus on actually playing rather than constantly repositioning the instrument. Bonus: your muscle memory stays consistent whether you're on the sofa or on stage.

Small change. Big difference. Give it a try at your next practice session.

🎸 Relic'd Guitars – Old Before Their Time?

Are relic'd guitars a masterclass in craftsmanship, or just a way to charge more for a guitar that looks like it's been through a few too many gigs? 🤔

We dive into the world of intentionally aged instruments — the techniques behind the wear, the debate around authenticity, and whether a relic finish truly captures the soul of a vintage guitar or if it's all just cosmetic charm.

From light closet relics to heavy road-worn battle scars, there's more to the story than meets the eye.

🍍 Did you know the pineapple ukulele has been turning heads since 1928?

Invented by Samuel Kamaka Sr. in Honolulu, Hawaii, this iconic rounded body shape wasn't just a style statement — it was a tonal innovation. More air inside the body means a warmer, fuller, more resonant sound than a standard soprano uke.

Played by legends like Israel Kamakawiwoʻole and Jake Shimabukuro, the pineapple uke has earned its place in music history — and it's still very much alive today.

We currently have the Kohala Akamai Soprano Pineapple Ukulele AK-SP model in stock — mahogany throughout, Aquila Nylgut strings as standard, and a beautifully warm tone that punches well above its price point.

Now just £59.99 (RRP £79.99).

Want to hear it before you buy? Pop in and we'll set one up for you. 🎶

🔺 Don't underestimate the triangle.

Sure, it might remind you of the Deathly Hallows symbol from Harry Potter, or take you straight back to a school music lesson where someone got handed "the easy instrument." But here's the thing — the triangle is a serious piece of percussion.

Used in orchestras, marching bands, and folk ensembles worldwide, proper use of the triangle demands precision timing, controlled technique, and a clear, resonant tone that can cut through an entire ensemble. Get it wrong and everyone hears it. Get it right and it's magic.

We stock the Hayman range in both 6" (£7.49) and 10" (£10.99) — solid, professional-quality instruments perfect for schools, ensembles, and anyone who wants to give this underrated classic the respect it deserves.
