It's a grey day, but we're here till 4 with lots of goodies today. We've had a delivery from Kinda - the BEST vegan cheese out there, including a couple of limited editions Wild Garlic and Pickle. Only a couple of large Easter eggs left, but plenty of Chuckie and Chickee Eggs so no need to panic 🙂 Don't forget we're closed Sunday, and slightly reduced hours Monday. Enjoy your chocolate! 🐰

We often hear ourselves referred to as the 'hippy shop'. Must be something to do with all the incense and tie-dye 🤣 So here he is - introducing Dizzy our hippy, eco warrior duck! Thanks to for organising such a quacking display for local charities. Make sure to drop in and see him this weekend before he waddles off to Alnwick Gardens on the 2nd April. Wishing all of our wonderful customers and suppliers a happy and peaceful Christmas. We'll be closing at 3pm today for a much needed break, then on reduced opening until after the New Year. Thank you so much for all of your support and smiles throughout 2025 ❤

Don't forget tomorrow evening it's the Narrowgate festive late night shopping event. We will be open till 8, along with all of our lovely neighbours. We have such a fantastic selection of independent businesses on our street. Please come along and support us if you can. Shopping local this Christmas makes a huge difference.
We can promise you mince pies and chocolate, and we'll be donating a percentage of the sales to our nominated charities too.

We're fussy about our suppliers. So we were incredibly disappointed when the owners of Wild deodorants sold out this month to Unilever, one of the world's biggest plastic polluters. But worry not, for Fussy has arrived! Fresh on the shelves today, with some lush-smelling scents, and not just more ethical than Wild, cheaper too. Check out YouTube for lots of videos on using the Fussy refills in your Wild case. More new deodorants on the way next week so stay tuned ....

We'll be taking a break for a couple of days over the Easter weekend, but there's plenty of chance to stock up Friday and Saturday. Sadly we're already sold out of our Easter chocolate range 😲 , but still lots of other scrummy sweet vegan treats in stock including Booja Booja, cookies, fudge and bars. Plus a great new range of chocolate - watch this space!

Our final charity beneficiary this year is Lend With Care. We have created a microfinance fund with them which will directly fund small projects in developing countries.
This is such a great way to make sure our (and your) donations make a huge difference. As the loans are repaid they will be reinvested, and we will be adding more donations every year. That way every pound donated can change lives over and over again.
We will be prioritising projects supporting women and refugees, and will only be funding plant-based agriculture.
Our first loan went to Ana Lucia in Ecuador
