Dear Local community
I just wanted to use this time and be open and honest.

I have always been a hard worker and worked myself up the ladder from 15 years old.
I've had my fair share of job roles and when i was 25 i was given a opportunity which gave me all the skills and knowledge to then open my own shop. It was a dream I've had for many years and it was uncertain if this could be achieved.

In September 2019 I did it! i was given the keys to kickstart the dream, i was thrilled. I have been a Butcher now for 27 years and I love every minute of it...
I hoped to go on untill retirement but as the trade is dying out and living cost continue to raise people are turning to supermarkets such as ALDI to survive.

My energy bill has gone up again this month from £400 to £500 a month alone. As has probably yours.
Things are starting to get tight and with deepest and saddest regret I need to think how i survive and this may result in closing your loved local Butchers.Another one bites the dust!!!

I have worked tiredly to try and assure the doors stay open. Everyone is in the same boat. But I am not getting enough customers who come in often enough because of living costs.
And I can not just sit and wait that the days will become busier.

The more fortunate and wealthy ones may spend £50K on putting a state of the arts kitchen in, but they never use them, its all for show!
they much prefer to sit around a fancy restaurant and eat £20-30 Steak there, which is lovely for them.

Summer has begun and the shop is getting quieter as people jet off for their summer holidays.This could be the last summer the shop is open as I fear things will not improve
