From creating 32 incredible garments in just 1 week during our biggest Fashion Week yet, to being sold out across double holiday clubs throughout August… we think it’s safe to say Summer 2026 is going down as our biggest ever at Sew Creative!

A huge thank you to every single person who has joined us this summer, whether you spent a day, a week, or the whole summer with us. Your creativity and enthusiasm have made the studio such a fun place to be.

And a massive shoutout to our amazing teen volunteers, who generously gave up their time to support our younger sewers and help them create some truly fantastic garments.

Last but certainly not least… Kerry and Liz! Thank you for pretty much moving into the studio this summer and giving so much of your time, energy and creativity to make it all happen. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Here’s to an unforgettable summer of sewing ❤️

We had an extra-special reason to celebrate at Holiday Club today - one of our lovely young makers was celebrating her birthday!

She spent the day with all her besties, sewing, creating, and making something they could be really proud of. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of saying “I made this!”, especially when you get to share it with your best friends.

16 teens. 2 outfits each. 32 garments made from scratch in just 1 week - it was our biggest Fashion Week to date, and it didn’t disappoint!

Last week our teens didn’t just sew - they became designers. From pattern cutting to construction and even embellishing their own sunglasses, every single stitch was theirs.

And we didn’t stop there, this year we added a sewing with stretch day. Our teens worked with deadstock fabric from , owned by The Sewing Bee’s very own ! Not only did this element keep beautiful fabric out of landfill, it also gave these girls a real lesson in sustainable fashion, not just sewing skills.

We then ended the week on a high, with a fashion show for almost 60 friends and family members in the fabulous - the best way to celebrate our amazing teens and all that they achieved in just one week!

This amazing week couldn’t have been possible without the talents of the amazing team here at Sew Creative, and for her fantastic art lesson on day one! Plus for providing the best machines and for helping us find the perfect fabrics for our teen’s designs!

32 garments. 16 designers. Zero waste attitude. This is what real sewing skills look like 💪 …just imagine what FW ‘27 could look like!
