Aviation Leathercraft was founded in 1977 by Simon Green, a keen pilot and entrepreneur. With strong desires to own the original Irvin, Simon reconstructed the jacket, which was admired by many. This keen interest from potential customers inspired Aviation Leathercraft. Over 40 years later we remain the proud owner of the Irvin trademark, which is sewn into each Irvin jacket to mark its authenticity. Because of our quality designs and attention to detail, we have built an international reputation for making the finest sheepskin and leather flying jackets. They are worn with pride around the world and remain highly sought-after aviation wear. Aviation Leathercraft has long been the preferred choice of Royal Airforce Squadrons as designer and supplier of their leather flying jackets. This includes the officially licensed MOD jacket, forming part of their uniform. We also commercially offer many officially licensed jackets worn by RAF squadrons and display teams, such as the Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight teams.
