A special commission of 2 horn handle Damascus blade sgian dubhs. Keeping the components local, blades and sheaths and presentation boxes from Rainnea Ltd. (Rab & Tanya Gordon's Sgian Dubhs & Celtic Jewellery) in Drumnadrochit, wood cap next to blade is oak from a whisky cask from Tomatin distillery, the rear wood cap is spalted beech from Bunchrew, and the main handle is deer antler from a Sika stag shot on the black isle making this a truly local Highland piece.

A few weeks ago i was asked to make a sewing table for a customer, approx 3' long and approx 2' wide. Took a while to get the timber but thanks to Speyside Timbercraft in Carrbridge, i managed to get some beautiful elm boards.
Picture are the full board in the yard, then the actual cut size, the board now sanded several times from 40g to 240g and then half and half oiled followed by the fully oiled board.
It still requires lots more sanding and more oiling also, then we will attach the legs as pictured to have the fully functioning table.
