Thank you all for your kind messages, comments, love and support in this difficult time. Your words have brought great comfort to me and my family and we truly appreciate everybody who has reached out.

Karen’s cremation will take place privately at her request

on Wednesday 29th April at 8.30am.

We will be holding a celebration of her life at a later date where we can all come together to remember Karen the way she lived- with warmth, laughter and love.

Thank you again for your kindness and compassion.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of our much loved wife, mum and Gran, Karen.

She passed away peacefully on Friday 17th April surrounded by love, she was a truly kind, warm and caring person who meant so much to so many, we know how many of you will remember her not just for her shop but for her friendly chats, her generosity and the way she always made people feel welcome.

Our hearts are broken and she will be deeply missed every single day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported her over the years and shown such kindness, it truly meant the world to her and to all of us.

We would be grateful for your thoughts as we take time as a family to grieve

Was down in shop yesterday for first time in over a week and boy did I get a shock at how empty it’s looking just not like my wee shop at all so although my plan is to be totally closed by end March not sure it will last that long if stock keeps going as fast as it is so you’ve not got long to grab a bargain as everything is now 30% reduced so if you have a voucher you need to use get in now with it or you think you may have money in the club please come in and check because when shops closed you will be to late and if like to give a huge thanks to Joyce for doing all this for me

CLOSING DOWN NOTICE

It’s with great sadness that I’m writing this but I’ve thought about it long and hard and it’s the best decision as my cancer is still spreading and I’m really not able to continue to keep shop going. I’d like to take this chance of thanking everyone who has been through the door in the 30 years we’ve been open I’ve made lots of new friendships and had so many lovely customers.Im hoping to be closed by end of March so there will be bargains to be had also cabinets will be available for buying.
