The shop is absolutely bursting with creativity, with beautiful pieces handmade by talented local artists and crafters. From lovely gifts and unique artwork to those wee treasures you didn’t know you needed until you spotted them! 🎁

Every finished piece has its own story, and buying handmade means you’re supporting real people, their talent and their small businesses — something that will always be very close to my heart ❤️ (just like hand pict)

A different kind of making for me early this morning 😀 Rather boring for you all to see but made me smile.

Thursday is not far away and the workshop area needed a tidy up and some display boards in it. So, I was busy making them up, dismantling shelving and storing it and all that's left is for me to go in with the duster tomorrow and it'll be tidy. Ready for welcoming everyone whose booked in. Still a few spaces left if you are interested in joining us. Link in comments to book 🥰

Seem to have picked up a wee cold and it’s made so discombobulated.

Anyway, windows done, next edition of the newspaper is printed and on display and I’m going to finish hoovering and sit down with a coffee.

It’s a proper wee treasure trove — an Aladdin’s kingdom of beautiful art, crafts and gifts, all handmade by talented local artists and crafters. 🎨🧵🎁

This lovely wee shop is also very close to my heart, as you can find some of my Nyla’s Dreams Aromas smellies there too! ❤️

There’s so much to browse, from quirky little finds to thoughtful gifts you won’t see everywhere else. Definitely worth a visit… although I can’t promise you’ll leave empty-handed! 😄

Over the next wee while, I’ll be sharing some of the other talented artists and crafters whose gorgeous creations you’ll find inside — there really is something for everyone.

Our very first workshop is nearly here and, as you can see, excitement (nerve) levels are rising rapidly at The Heart & Home Studio in Nyla's Dreams Aromas.

The supplies are being organised, the welcome packs are getting sorted, Carol—the Ginger Magpie—is ready to get creative, and I’m only checking everything about 847 times. 😂

Meanwhile, the Swanky-Doos have appointed themselves Head of Biscuit Security. Quite frankly, I’m not convinced they can be trusted. 🍪👀

Our Altered Art workshop is on Thursday 24th, from 1–3pm.

So, the important question is… are you booked? ❤️

At least I’m not that late with this today 🤣🤣🤣

The shop windows have had a wee refresh and are now packed with gorgeous home fragrances, handmade gifts, beautiful artwork and lots of lovely local creations - Dark Honey & To***co has been delivered and a restock is en route this week.

And… look what’s appeared in the window! 👀🗞️
The very first edition of The Swanky-Doos News has officially landed!

It’s filled with shop updates, fragrance news, upcoming workshops and a little peek at what Carol—our Ginger Magpie and artist in residence—has been planning.

Sunday… which is apparently the day of rest for most only not me 😂

Wee Fi and the Swanky-Doos are clearing the chaos, hatching big ideas and making sure the workshop biscuits are accounted for — priorities, people! ☕🍪

The scaffolding went at the end of April, clearing the way for the creativity, which is only just getting started… to grow

Same shop. More to love. Workshops coming very soon - EEks, the 24th is not far away.......

Altered Art, Thursday 24th September, 1pm - 3pm and I've popped the booking link for them all in the bio 😀 - aren't I a clever cookie 🤣

My goodness, I am seriously losing the will to get things to work on the blasted computer. Thank goodness for sunshine and being able to have the door wide open.

It's my designing skills that need fine-tuned and I know that, but my brain is saying, you've done 1 and no need for more and I need 1 more and can't get it to paly ball 🫤 - send coffee, send help, 🥹

The best bit is, the links will work on one and not on the other .......it's the same link so why won't it open on both documents????

Mind you, this isn't as bad as Wednesday and losing the phone and findng it in the fridge. Yep, in the bloody fridge and that's after having checked the car, returned to the shop and it not being there and checked the shopping bags........... only me 🤣🤣

I'm here today until 3 and will be silently praying I get the links to work. But, you can always pop in for a chat and a wee browse 😀
