We know what a major investment a new saddle is, and we are dedicated to getting it right for both you and your horse. At Sue Carson Saddles we guide you through the whole process. It starts with a friendly, no obligation chat to discuss what your requirements are. We can then arrange an on site visit with one of our experienced riders and saddle fitters. Your distributor will measure your horse and assess it’s way of going, all of which will have an impact on your choice of saddle. They will then move onto you! You will have the chance to see and ride on our range of saddles. Each saddle can be as individual as the rider on it! You can pick the seat that suits you and combine it with the flaps of your choice made in the leather you choose, in the colour(s) that you want. We also stock a standard range of Dressage, Jumping, Show and General Purpose saddles. We then go away and make YOUR saddle. When the saddle arrives, your fitter then re visits you to fit your saddle. The Sue Carson experience really is a complete service, second to none. Please give us a ring and see what we can do for you AND your horse! Your saddle is manufactured in Walsall by an SMS member using all his knowledge and experience and top quality materials. Here at Sue Carson Saddles we not only service our own saddles but are happy to help and advise with any saddle. We offer a fully flocking service and can convert flocked saddles to flair. We are looking for a organised, enthusiastic and practical person to join our team at Sue Carson Saddles on a full-time basis.

The role is varied, being primarily office based, focusing on sales and marketing along with day to day yard jobs caring for top level competition horses, so we are looking for someone who is happy to turn their hand to different tasks and get stuck in wherever needed.

💻 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙙𝙚:
- General office and administrative duties
- Answering phone calls, emails and dealing with customer enquiries
- Managing diaries and appointments
- Telesales and following up leads
- Social media and marketing
- Carrying out general day to day yard duties including mucking out, turning out and tacking up
- Supporting events and the day to day running of the business

We are looking for someone who is strong on the office side, but who has enough horse knowledge and experience to confidently look after competition horses.

Our next member of our Meet Our Team series is our Managing Director and Founder, Sue Carson.

As the founder of Sue Carson Saddles, Sue’s passion, knowledge and experience have been at the heart of the business from the very beginning.

With a lifetime immersed in the equestrian world, Sue understands just how important the relationship between horse, rider and saddle is. Her experience and dedication to finding solutions for individual horse and rider combinations have helped shape the unique approach to saddle fitting that Sue Carson Saddles is known for today.

Over the years, Sue has worked with horses and riders across a wide range of disciplines and levels, building lasting relationships with clients and continually developing her knowledge and understanding of saddle fit, horse comfort and rider balance. A List 1 British Dressage Judge and active Dressage competitor at International level up to Grand Prix and previous experience competing in Showing, Eventing and Show Jumping, Sue's extensive competition background helps her understand the needs of riders from all disciplines.

While the Sue Carson Saddles team has grown over the years, Sue remains very much at the heart of the business, continuously working on designing new models, working with our team of manufacturers and actively out fitting covering the Midlands. Her passion for horses, commitment to our clients and wealth of experience continue to guide everything we do.

Next up is Katie, our dedicated Sue Carson Saddles fitter based in the North East. Covering Northern England and Scotland, Katie spends plenty of time on the road supporting our clients across a large part of the country.

Working exclusively with Sue Carson Saddles, Katie provides a friendly, knowledgeable and personalised fitting service, taking the time to understand the individual needs of every horse and rider combination to ensure the best possible outcome for both.

With a background in showing and breeding, particularly Connemaras, Katie brings a wealth of equestrian experience and knowledge to her role, which she loves sharing with her valued clients.

Katie is passionate about helping horses and riders feel comfortable, balanced and confident in their saddles, while building lasting relationships with the clients she supports.
