Please don't listen to the misinformation being shared.

No other council or organisation will be picking up the work that Ashby BID has done, and plans to do.

There's a lot of misinformation circulating at the moment, and we want to meet it with facts. If the BID is not renewed, no other council or organisation will step in to pick up this work. There is no Plan B — the events, the marketing, the Ashby Rangers, the floral displays and everything else the BID funds will simply stop.

If you've seen or heard something that doesn't sound right, please just ask us. send us a message, email us, or pop into the office at the Tourist Information Centre on North Street. We're always happy to set the record straight.

Huge congratulations to Lil Bo's Deli — Café of the Year! 🏆

We're so proud to share that Lil Bo's Deli Kitchen & Shop has been named Great Food Club Café of the Year 2026/27. After reaching the final last year, they've come out on top this time — and it's thoroughly deserved.

A small, characterful deli and café with local food and drink at its heart, Lil Bo's was praised by the judges for its warm welcome, strong local sourcing and carefully considered menu. The shelves are packed with products from nearby producers — local bread, pies, b**r, c***r and wh**ky — and the whole place feels personal, independent and closely connected to Ashby.

It's wins like this that show just how much talent sits on our high street. Pop in, say congratulations, and treat yourself to something delicious while you're there.

From today, every business that pays into Ashby BID has a say on the town's future. A YES vote renews the BID for another five years, from April 2027 to March 2032, and keeps almost £1.5 million invested in Ashby.

Ballot open 1st–29th Oct, results 30th Oct. Vote YES.

Our events don't just fill the town for a day. They put Ashby on the map for people who'd never have found it otherwise.

Here's what the page alone has done in the last year:

📈 3.32 million impressions across Facebook and Instagram
👀 2.83 million views
👥 Over 150,000 followers reached, plus another 42,000 non-followers on Instagram — people in Ashby and the surrounding areas who don't yet follow us, but are seeing the town

And it's not just Ashby seeing it. Our biggest audiences sit in Swadlincote, Coalville, Burton, Loughborough, Ibstock, Derby, Leicester, Tamworth and beyond. That's people in neighbouring towns being shown a reason to get in the car and spend their day, and their money, here.

An event goes out, the reach jumps, and new visitors come into Ashby who previously wouldn't have known it existed.

All of it is funded by Ashby BID. There's no Plan B — no other organisation will step in to do this.

Happy World Tourism Day. 🌍

There are few better places to celebrate it than right here. Ashby de la Zouch is a historic market town in the heart of the National Forest, with Ashby Castle at its centre — the striking Hastings Tower, the ruins to explore, and centuries of history on our doorstep.

Add in independent shops, cafés and restaurants, the covered market, and events throughout the year, and it's easy to see why people travel from all around to spend the day here.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or you call Ashby home, today's a lovely reminder to get out and enjoy it. Explore the castle, wander the alleyways, support a local business, and make a day of it.

A Christmas Past has arrived at Ashby Museum. 🎄

A beautiful new temporary exhibition has opened in the Museum's Loudoun Gallery — an enchanting collection of antique and vintage Christmas decorations from Germany and the former Soviet Union.

The display has been lovingly put together by Tatiana and Serhii, the owners of Aurora Café, and it's a lovely bit of festive nostalgia to enjoy as the season draws in.
