Join Us for an Exclusive Derbyshire Open Arts Preview Evening
We’re delighted to invite you to a special evening at Ferrers Gallery, located within the beautiful Ferrers Centre for Arts & Crafts, as we celebrate our return in Derbyshire Open Arts 2027.
Whether you missed our AGM or would like to hear more about the exciting plans taking shape behind the scenes, this is the perfect opportunity to discover what’s in store for 2027 and explore one of our exciting new venues.

What to expect
A showcase of inspiring artwork from artists currently exhibiting in Ferrers Gallery, alongside a selection of artists who regularly participate in Derbyshire Open Arts.
Meet our newest committee members
Ruby will introduce Ferrers Gallery and explain its exciting role as one of our new venues for Derbyshire Open Arts 2027, where it will host a number of participating artists.
Jotham will talk about the wider Ferrers Centre for Arts & Crafts, introducing its resident artists and makers, as well as the spaces that will be available for guest artists taking part in Derbyshire Open Arts 2027.
An update from the Derbyshire Open Arts committee
Leigh, Chair, and Karen, Secretary, will share the work that’s been happening behind the scenes over the past year, outlining the changes and improvements we’ve been making to strengthen and future-proof Derbyshire Open Arts, ensuring it continues to grow and thrive for many years to come.
This will be a relaxed and inspiring evening, offering the chance to meet fellow artists, supporters and volunteers, ask questions, and hear first-hand about the exciting future of Derbyshire Open Arts.
We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the next chapter of Derbyshire Open Arts.
We look forward to seeing you there!
The Ferrers Centre is on the Leicestershire/Derbyshire border between Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Melbourne off the B587. Postcode is LE65 1RU but some do better with LE65 1RW.

After three fantastic years with the gallery Annabel is heading off on her next adventure as she starts University in York where she’ll be studying Liberal Arts.🎓

During her time with us, Annabel has become such a valuable and much loved member of our team. We’ve seen her confidence grow, and her genuine passion for the Arts has always shone through.🌟

We’re going to miss her so much, but we’re incredibly excited to see what this next chapter brings! 💫

Q- HOW LONG HAVE YOU WORKED AT FERRERS GALLERY?

A- “I started out joining the gallery for work experience and escalated to gallery manager”

“It’s now been over 12 years!”

Q- WHAT WIDER CREATIVE WORK DO YOU DO?

A- “For the past 14 years I’ve been selling my oil paintings through galleries. I started in Nottingham, and now I show from Scotland to Cornwall!”

“You’ll see me at the artisan show, and I exhibit yearly here at Ferrers Gallery.”

Q- WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT WORKING AT FERRERS GALLERY?

A- “I love getting to meet all of our amazing artists in person”
