With the solar eclipse happening this evening, we wanted to share our unique celestial light up rocking horse “STELA.”

Stay safe watching the eclipse. If you haven’t got eclipse glasses, you can turn your back to the sun and use the selfie camera of your phone to watch the eclipse happening.

Alternatively, grab a metal colander and stand with your back to the sun. The tiny holes from the colander will cast multiple mini crescent-sun shadows on the ground or a flat surface.

More about STELA: made in tulip wood with planets, stars and comets exquisitely painted. STELA is mounted on a black coach spring stand and features LED lights and a floating ‘Flash Gordon’ style saddle.

Enjoy the eclipse and rock on always!

The Fairfax & Favor rocking horse, made for the luxury rural lifestyle company in 2020.

Pictured here at Narford Hall in Norfolk, where the company has based their headquarters since launching in 2013.

Narford Hall is also the ancestral family estate and home to the company’s co-founder: Marcus Fairfax Fountaine - pictured here riding the family’s Dapple Grey horse commissioned when he was a child.

We made the Fairfax & Favor rocking horse in Oak. As chosen by co-founder Felix Favor Parker.

Both the original Dapple Grey rocking horse and the new Oak rocking horse were fitted with matching saddles and tack with the logo beautifully embroidered onto the navy saddlecloths and the crest inlaid into the runners.

We are delighted to be showing the ‘Little Acorns Mighty Oak’ rocking horse at the fabulous new furniture gallery .rustic in the New Forest.

This rocking horse will be showcased alongside the contemporary work of furniture maker Greig Harper. Greig breathes new life into ancient cross sections of Oak from the Exbury Estate. He incorporates re-purposed metal components of farm equipment and buildings.

Each piece is unique and sustainable. Also like us, he relishes the unusual commissions and ships globally.

Do give them a follow and take a look when in The New Forest. Pictured here with Grieg and Leah as well as Marc Stevenson on site at Fuga Rustic. Address below for those in the area:

The fabulous Zara Tindall pictured here with Marc Stevenson and a rocking replica of the late Queen Elizabeth’s famous eventing horse, TOYTOWN.
Made to raise funds for British Equestrian Olympic Team 🇬🇧 2012

Photographed at Gatcombe Park Estate, this rocking horse featured all the distinctive markings of the real TOYTOWN including his white blaze and white spots. We made a miniature version of his tack, saddle and saddlecloth. Made before we designed the closed mouth option, which do you prefer?
