Just added to the website: a beautiful vintage Daisy tea set with its rich floral pattern, raised enamel details, and gilded edges.

A larger set than we usually come across, with several pieces available individually or as part of the collection.

One of those patterns that seems to reveal a new detail every time you look at it.

Well… two of these didn’t stay on the shelf for very long.

The cow teapot and the teddy bear pram teapot found a new home in Brazil almost as soon as they were listed yesterday.

The rest of this wonderfully eccentric group is now live on the website, including a royal crown, a dragon, Romeo & Juliet, a charming china shop and perhaps my favourite of the lot, the miniature shop interior teapot.

One of the things I enjoy most about novelty teapots is that no two collections are ever quite the same. Every shelf ends up telling a different story.

Which one would you have picked?

Some pieces are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, yet still manage to tell a story.

This Border Fine Arts figurine, titled “Not Far To Go”, captures a Border Collie pausing beside a milestone marker. Hand made in Scotland in 1994, it’s one of those pieces that quietly appeals to dog lovers and collectors alike.

A busy week behind the scenes at Rare Finds House.

Every piece starts here: carefully cleaned, checked over, registered to our inventory and photographed before it ever appears on the website.

This week’s lineup includes everything from character teapots and cottageware to porcelain figurines and a few unusual finds we’re looking forward to sharing.

Keep an eye on the website; there’s plenty more on the way.

It’s been a little over a month since these two joined the newcomers shelf.

Every time I walk past them, they remind me of visiting my grandparents as a child. There’s something about the way they’re sitting together that brings back those memories of older generations, quieter times, and family visits.

Not every piece earns a place in my memory like that.

These are finally getting ready to be photographed properly and listed on the website soon.

Spending some time with a collection of copper lustre cream jugs today.

One of those areas of collecting where the variety never seems to end.

All are now available on the website for collectors and lovers of vintage ceramics.

Tea tastes better from a cottage.

A charming vintage Price Kensington Cottage Ware teapot enjoying one last cup before heading off to its next home.

Some vintage pieces are simply impossible not to smile at.

A common misconception about Staffordshire dogs is that pairs should be identical.

The truth is that many aren’t.

Even when made from the same pattern, differences in painting, decoration and expression often mean no two are exactly alike.

That’s one of the things I enjoy most about collecting them. The more you look, the more individuality you find.
