Yesterday was my mam’s final farewell after the biggest and most devastating loss and shock our family has ever experienced.

I have to say that choosing Anthony Barton Funeral Directors was the best decision we could have made for our beautiful mam’s final journey. Both Anthony and Tami have been incredibly supportive, kind, compassionate, and respectful. From the very first phone call through to the end of yesterday, they went above and beyond to make such a difficult time as easy as possible for our whole family. Nothing was ever too much trouble.

Tami was our celebrant and led my mam’s final farewell with such warmth, care, and professionalism. The service was so personal and beautifully delivered that almost everyone asked if she had been one of my mam’s friends. That is a true testament to how much time, effort, and genuine care she put into getting to know who my mam was.

Nobody ever wants to make that phone call to a funeral director, but if you ever find yourself having to make the hardest phone call of your life, I honestly couldn’t recommend Anthony Barton Funeral Directors highly enough. You will be treated with kindness, dignity, compassion, and genuine care every step of the way.

Thank you so much, Anthony and Tami. You have been two of the most important, supportive, and compassionate people we have met during the most heartbreaking and devastating time of our lives. We will never forget everything you have done for our family or the beautiful farewell you gave our mam.

The family of Alan Lidyard are saddened to announce his passing on 28th July 2026.

They have asked us to create a special tribute page in Alan’s memory, providing a place for family and friends to share messages of condolence, photographs and treasured memories, or to light a tribute candle in his honour.

If you wish, you can also make a donation to Willow Wood Hospice in Alan’s memory.

From the soft candlelight and personal touches, to our beautiful local landscape imagery, every detail has been chosen to create an environment that feels calm, respectful and reassuring.

We also have our knitted hearts, which families are welcome to place with their loved one before taking another heart home with them, a small reminder that the connection and love we share never truly leaves us.

With great sadness, Elaine Turner’s family announce that Elaine sadly passed away on 31st July 2026.
In her memory, the family have asked us to create a special tribute page where family and friends can come together to remember Elaine and celebrate her life.
On the tribute page, you can find details of Elaine’s funeral service, leave a message of condolence for her family, share photographs and memories, or, if you wish, make a donation to the RSPCA, a charity that was very close to Elaine’s heart, as she loved all animals.
