Handmade by myself after a challenge from a client to use a spectacular array of hand-dyed feathers and create a one-sided, gradient style of feathers. Well, okay then! Challenge accepted and smashed ....
Colours flowing from deep lake blue through vibrant teal, jade, aqua and striking turquoise. It is an absolute show-stopper, designed to make an entrance.
The current headband is unwrapped, allowing it to be custom-covered in your choice of colour to match your look perfectly!
I handmake the wired headbands so that the designs are not top-heavy and pulling to one side. Considering there’s over 100 feathers on this hat, it is surprisingly light.
This was my test piece for the client’s design, and I LOVE it. She also loved it and is having it made in Lake Blue and silver.
This design took over 10 hours to handcut and shape each feather, plus wire the feathers and dye them, then set and sew to the handmade headband.
Cost price £250 including hatbox and UK delivery. I can make it in any colour.
This piece can be sent overseas, but i would need to obtain a cost for a courier.
