The reality of a weight loss journey… 🙈

I’ve been an absolute greedy cow the last 4 days and I fully deserve the 2lb I’ve put on 😂

🍟 Chips on Thursday.
🍔 McDonald’s on Friday.
🥡 Chinese on Saturday.
🍽️ And today? I’m finishing strong with a massive roast dinner… goose fat roasties, buttery stuffing, mash loaded with butter, gravy made with all the meat juices… and there’ll probably be a bag of Giant Buttons for dessert too. 🤣

A few years ago I’d have been sat here hating myself. I’d convince myself I’d ruined everything and end up spiralling into weeks of bad eating.

Now?

Honestly… balls to it.

I don’t eat like this often. Clearly my body (or maybe just my soul 😂) fancied a proper blowout, so that’s exactly what it’s had.

Will the scales be up tomorrow? Absolutely. It’ll probably be more than 2lb once today’s food is added.

But do I care? Not really.

Because I know it’s temporary.

This holiday is hitting totally differently. 🥹❤️

I’m 5.5 stone lighter, but the biggest change isn’t the number on the scales… it’s how confident I finally feel in the clothes I wear.

Trying on holiday clothes is hitting different this year 🥳☀️

For as long as I can remember, I’ve never truly felt comfortable or confident in my own skin.

From the outside, I’ve always put on a brave face. I’ve smiled for photos, got dressed up, gone on holidays, and carried on as if I felt great. But deep down, there was always that little voice picking me apart and reminding me of everything I wished I could change.

It’s exhausting spending years pretending you’re confident when the reality is that you’re constantly battling your own thoughts.

This year feels different.

Not because I’ve reached some magical goal weight or suddenly love everything about myself, but because I’ve finally started to feel more in control. Less overwhelmed by cravings, less consumed by food noise, and more able to make choices that support how I want to feel.

Creating Shedables came from my own struggles with weight, confidence, and the emotional rollercoaster that so many people silently live with every day.

Today, trying on my holiday clothes, I realised something. For the first time in a very long time, I wasn’t looking for flaws. I was just looking forward to my holiday.
