Our Warehouse Wednesday tip this week is all to do with Hand Protection! 🧤
One of the most common things we see on site is the same pair of gloves being used for every task.
The reality is, not every job carries the same level of cut risk, so one glove isn't always the right solution.
For example, if someone is simply moving boxes or handling stock around a warehouse, a cut-resistant glove often isn't required. A good general handling glove provides the grip, comfort and dexterity needed to do the job safely.
On the other hand (no, not literally 😉), tasks involving metal safety knives, sharp edges will require a much higher level of cut protection.
Choosing the right glove isn't just about compliance, it's about matching the PPE to the task. Wearing a glove with a higher cut level than necessary can reduce dexterity and comfort, making everyday jobs more difficult than they need to be.
Sometimes, improving safety isn't about adding more protection, it's about choosing the right protection.
If you're not sure whether your team is wearing the right gloves for the job, we'd be happy to help.
Our free hand protection audits help businesses choose the right glove for each task, improving safety without compromising comfort or productivity.
