It's tomorrow! Fancy a free event for all the family? Come and join us!

We are delighted to be bringing the annual History day to the Town Hall again this year on Saturday 26 September, 10am–3pm - with the theme of childhood.

What did children do during the war?

Join the Heritage Centre, Aylsham Roman Project, Aylsham History Society and the Town Archive team for a fascinating day celebrating the people, places and memories that make Aylsham's history so special.
This year we will also be joined by:
*Bon Bons – helping us to celebrate and remember the joy of the childhood sweet treat
*Aylsham British Legion – helping us to find out more about life as a child during the war years.
* Aylsham Scouts – helping us look back at the history of the organisation.

Find information, photographs and artefacts from the town as well as games and activities for children and families. We will have a room full of games to play from giant Jenga to giant Connect 4 to hopscotch! There will be another of our popular escape room puzzles all about the schools in the town – can you collect all the photographs to complete the school album? We will have a display of old toys and games – which did you have? Which did you have on your wish list but never received?
