SHOP CLOSING DOWN.
Unfortunately with the current climate, remaining open simply is not possible.
I have tried extremely hard this past year to try and build the cheapest gift shop in the town, but unfortunately it hasn't been supported enough to make it viable.
Spending thousands of pounds of savings is always a brave move, but at 23/24 years of age, was absolutely crazy to some people!
All I can say is with the current climate,
● A very popular car park being turned into houses (taking away thousands of people from the street every week).
●No support with funding grants off of the council.
●Not enough financial takings from customers.
●Getting absolutely shafted off of electricity as well as an excessively high water bill per month.
●Having to use my full time wage to bail out the business.
●Selling everything cheaper than the other shops, and still not getting more bodies through the door.
I have loved creating something from scratch, and with the correct funding in future, could work.
However I fully underestimated the challenges and the amount of money it would cost me.
HOWEVER:
Ayr We Go WILL CONTINUE next year, focusing on the markets, Holy fair, out beloved air show etc.
I plan to invest in a van, a gazebo, and fold up tables, to be able to do more markets, as well as outside at the Sunday Market.
I'd personally like to thank everyone from my friends, family, staff and customers for all the kind words of encouragement, and support over the last year.
My best friend, Phil who helped me set up last year, before his passing. I will never forget that, and I wish you could have been here to see the business grow ❤.
No exact closing date, but it will be round about the 2 weeks mark.
So PLEASE come and support us, and get a bargain!
EVERYTHING MUST GO AND EVERYTHING WILL BE ON SALE!!!
Look forward to welcoming you all back to the markets next year!
Steven
