Ayr and District Flower Show Ayr & District Flower Show is a new event held at Ayr Racecourse and focuses on horticulture exhibits

The Ayr Flower Show has been a much-loved fixture in the Ayrshire calendar for many years and we would want to acknowledge the debt of gratitude that we owe to all those who have organised and supported the show since its’ establishment, sometimes in many challenging circumstances. But time and circumstances move on and we have to adapt to them. Since establishing the Ayr & District Flower Show fo

r 2017 we have been overwhelmed by the expressions of goodwill towards the event from both the public and the horticultural community and this has been backed up by the willingness of individuals and local organisations to provide sponsorship funding which has enabled us to get this show off the ground. At the show there is a range of classes regarding horticultural exhibits like flowers, fruit and veg. As well as these classes, there is a junior section, handicraft, photography, baking and more that can be found within the show schedule. We hope there is something there for everyone and that you can enter into the show. There is also a variety of stalls at the show for you to pick up something nice to take home, and the Ayr Racecourse Scottish Food market is another attraction we hope you enjoy. As part of the show, there is also various musical acts performing throughout the two days to which we hope the weather is nice enough to enjoy the sounds in the sun. All this for only the small price of £5 at the gate, we hope you enjoy the show.

Can you believe it’s already been one whole week since the doors opened on the 2026 Ayr & District Flower Show?!😭🌻

We might be finished for another year, but thankfully the flower show season certainly isn’t!

There are still plenty of fantastic local shows to enjoy over the next few weeks, starting tomorrow with Largs Flower Show.

So, if last weekend has left you wanting another fix of flowers, vegetables, competition and good old-fashioned show-day atmosphere, why not pay one (or more!) of them a visit?

Here's some highlights from Day 2 of the 2026 Ayr & District Flower Show to brighten up your Sunday night! 🌸🌻🌿

What an incredible couple of days it’s been. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this year’s show such a success - our hardworking committee, volunteers, judges, exhibitors, traders, entertainers, supporters and of course, every single one of you who came along and joined us over the weekend.

The Ayr & District Flower Show simply wouldn’t be what it is without the amazing people who grow, show, help, support and visit. Thank you for being part of it! 🧡

We hope you enjoyed the weekend as much as we did - and we’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year! 🗓
