Meet the Wee Apron 🌿

I could never find an apron that was just right… so I made one. 🤍

Being quite tall, I’ve always found aprons are either too short, uncomfortable around the neck, or seriously lacking in pocket space!

So when I started creating my Beebaw Design @ Home collection, I knew exactly what I wanted from an apron.

I took a lovely 1960s-style cross-back pattern and gave it a few tweaks of my own — a generous length, comfortable cross-back straps and a big wide pocket divided into four sections. Because one pocket is never enough!

Made from durable denim and beautiful cotton canvas, I’ve paid just as much attention to the inside as the outside. Everything is beautifully hemmed and French seamed, with no unfinished edges — made to withstand plenty of wearing and washing and, hopefully, be part of your home for years to come.

Perfect for baking, cooking, gardening, crafting, creating… or just generally pottering about. 🌿

Meet the Wee Bowl Cosy 🌿

Next up from my Beebaw Design @ Home collection is one of those little things you don’t realise you need until you have one…

The Wee Bowl Cosy.

We’ve all done it — heated something in the microwave, picked up the bowl and quickly realised the bowl is far hotter than expected! 😬

That’s where the Wee Bowl Cosy comes in. Your bowl sits snugly inside, giving you a comfortable layer between your hands and the hot bowl — helping protect your hands from the heat while also giving it that lovely cosy feel.

Perfect for soup, porridge, chilli, pasta… or anything else that calls for curling up on the sofa with a warm bowl. 🤍

Made from 100% pre-washed cotton, with durable denim and coordinating cotton fabrics, they’re made for real everyday life.

Spills? No problem. Pop it in the washing machine, reshape and let it dry, ready to be used time and time again.

They can also go in the microwave with your bowl, so there’s no need to transfer a piping-hot bowl into the cosy afterwards. (Microwave use only — not suitable for the oven.)

Meet the Wee Peg Bag

First up from my new Beebaw Design @ Home collection is something practical, but with a little twist…

The Wee Peg Bag.

I wanted to make a peg bag that was actually easy to use while hanging out the washing — so instead of hanging from the washing line, this one has a long cross-body strap, keeping your pegs right beside you and leaving both hands free.

No walking backwards and forwards to the peg basket. No shuffling it along the line. Just pop it on, fill it with pegs and off you go. 🤍

Made using denim and 100% cotton fabrics, with a roomy shape and a little Beebaw Design @ Home label, it’s designed to be useful enough for everyday life while still looking rather lovely hanging up in the utility room.

There is also plenty of room for your phone, keys and all those little bits and pieces you inevitably end up carrying around.

Something new from Beebaw Design… 💚

I’ve been quietly working away on a little something behind the scenes and I’m finally ready to share it with you.

Introducing Beebaw Design @ Home — a new collection of handmade pieces for everyday life at home.

I’ve been making aprons, peg bags, bowl cosies, pot holders and a few other lovely bits, using 100% cotton fabrics, denim and some gorgeous prints that I’ve had far too much fun choosing!

The idea behind the collection is simple — practical things that are made to be used, washed and loved again, but that still look lovely around your home.

Everything is handmade by me here in Scotland, with the same care and attention that has always gone into my Beebaw Design makes.

This is a little different from what you’re used to seeing from me, so I’d really love to know what you think. ❤️

I’ll be sharing some of the individual pieces over the next few days, along with the different fabrics and designs available.

This design is the Patchwork Bear. Made from a summer dress and some school jumpers. I had some of the school tartan in my stash so we decided to add this on the feet / paws / ears. I love the wee bows, it just finishes these off nicely

This one is a Trouser Bear Design. Sometimes the head and hands are made from a different garment but I decided to make this guy mostly purple
