As a local business owner, I do not usually comment on political matters. However, I feel compelled to show my support for my neighbours on Rashee Road, both of whom were attacked yesterday evening without any justification.

The Ethnic Minority Community Hub, run by my friend Sharon, and IMaj, run by my friends Umit and Oz, have both contributed greatly to our community.

Sharon works hard to support LEGAL care workers here—people who are caring for our loved ones in hospitals, care homes, and within our community. Through her efforts, she has brought comfort, friendship, and a sense of belonging to many people. She has also recently introduced new customers and friends to The Secret Place.

Umit and Oz have always been gentlemanly, kind, and helpful neighbours. I am deeply saddened to see them targeted in such a hateful way.

When we turn against one another like this, we have already lost the battle.

Please take time to learn who the real enemy is—the one who seeks to destroy families, communities, livelihoods, and ultimately souls—and learn how to fight these battles in the right way.
