On Sunday we welcome riders in Parkinson’s UK Northern Ireland Pedal Causeway Coast cycling event. Gold & Silver routes stop by the tearoom for breakfast or lunch on their 55 or 100 mile arduous circuit from Ballycastle.

We wish all the riders a fair wind and great journey with stunning views & just a few hills to climb while we hope this will raise awareness and charitable donations for this important cause.

Parkinson’s UK search for a cure and campaign for better health and care, as well as funding research into groundbreaking new treatments and running life-changing support services to achieve one mission: to improve life with Parkinson’s. Please give generously.

Meanwhile the garden at Benvarden is all about roses right now, they are everywhere, every colour and have wonderful scent, it’s roses dream land! Well there are the alstroemerias, peonies, honeysuckle and much more but you have to visit to experience it! We look forward to welcoming you.

The sun is out so what better place to spend a few hours this weekend but in the garden at Benvarden. The roses are out and the garden is almost in full bloom . Around each corner there is another vision of nature’s beauty from stunning peonies to foxgloves, hydrangeas to irises, a variety of clematis and thousands of geraniums.

Meanwhile the men have been working hard in the kitchen garden and soon we will have masses of produce, salad, vegetables and fruit with grapes, melons, peaches, nectarines and figs all growing well, together with the millions of apples on the espalier trees.

Moreover the bees are humming everywhere which, together with the birds and butterflies, make this a magical place.

And if you don’t visit the tearoom you will really have missed out, it is filled with delicious homemade food to tempt you. Have a great weekend!
