It’s easy to hold onto what hurt us. It’s harder, and far more healing, to remember that people are layered. They are more than their worst choice, their lowest season, or the pain they caused. They are also capable of growth, change, redemption, kindness, and love.

Offering grace doesn’t excuse harmful behavior or remove accountability. It simply refuses to reduce someone to a single moment. It leaves room for context, for their story, for God’s transforming work.

May we be people who see beyond the moment. May we lead with compassion, remember with mercy, and believe in the possibility of change—because grace never stops believing.

Be kind. Be patient. Be the kind of grace you wish you’d been given.

Wednesday's Word of Kindness

If I am gentle with the world, I must also learn to be gentle with the ones who see me at my most tired, most human self.

I speak this to myself today, not as someone who has mastered it, but as someone still learning.

It is often easier to be patient with strangers than with the people closest to us. Yet home is where kindness is most needed and most tested. The tone I use in my own space matters just as much as the words I offer to the outside world.

I remind myself that love is not only shown in public, but in the quiet, everyday moments — especially when I am tired, stressed, or overwhelmed. Those closest to me should not receive what is left of my patience, but the best of my intention.

So I speak this to myself: be gentle where it is hardest. Let kindness begin at home.

Customised blessing boxes – this is an example of how a customer wanted to create a special blessing box by swapping the keychain from the “Goodness of God” blessing box with a Happy 60th Birthday magnet to make the gift a little extra special.

Of course, they also personalised it further by adding a custom message inside the box.
