🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

This week we ventured to a gorgeous house up North where we purchased a selection of lovely larger items and some quirky collectable smalls. The van was loaded up with a stylish metamorphic tea trolley that intricately pulls from two levels to one larger top. A gorgeous Parker Knoll rocking chair and solid antique kist. A top quality Full working stereo system was carefully loaded into the middle seat of the van where it was securely treated as a passenger and seat belted in! A selection of prettt orange framed pictures of local fishery history was wrapped up and loaded up too 🖼️

Another house visit in the city centre brought us a boatload of vintage vinyl, including some picture discs, a selection of collectable and colourful animal ornaments, chess board and stunning Tiffany style lamps 🐄♟️

All these items mentioned, pictured below and so much more will be available to view this weekend at our Balmedie Beach unit 🏖️ Open this Friday for the second last time of the year 11-5 and our usual Saturday & Sunday from 11-5pm 🕔

🎩🐶🗣️SUNDAY SUMMARY!🗣️🐶🎩

As always a massive thank you to each and everyone of you who chose to spend part of your weekend down with us down at our Balmedie Beach unit and your continued support of our small local business 🙏

It was one of those fab weekends where it may have been frustrating at times on the Saturday for folk trying to get a space in the carpark but for us, selfishly 😅, we think ‘wow that’s amazing, we need a bigger carpark!’

Our typical Saturday & Sundays have continued to be fruitful but we have made the decision after a decent trial period that Fridays will definitely be a summer only affair! Friday openings will continue for another two Fridays - next Friday 21st August and the final Friday of the year being the 28th. So if you fancy a Friday visit you’ve got two more weeks. Then we will revert back to just Saturdays & Sundays until next summer 🌞

🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

The team were undertaking some well needed organising in the storage unit throughout the week which limited our pick ups in the van 🚐

That being said team member Craig did manage to squeeze in one house visit to one of his scuba diving pals 🤿 This one visit was well worth the trip up north as he loaded up his van with an unreal example of some mid century modern magic in a combined electrical heater/cylindrical standard lamp, Addionally a fabulous set of highly sought after quality Le Creuset kitchenware 💡

Our life was made easier with some top notch customer drop offs, from multiple people we purchased two military helmets 🪖 A massive batch of vintage vinyl 🎶 Pretty brass ornaments 🐅 Persian rugs 🇮🇷 Elephant Footstool/Tables 🐘 The talented ‘Lampman’ also dropped off another one of his quirky projects which this week features a pair of lawn bowls turned into a unique lamp 💡

Goodevening to all, we hope you’ve had a fantastic weekend and are now relaxing and unwinding before the fresh week ahead 😌

Friday was busy enough but we do feel like there’s a high chance our Friday openings will most likely be relegated to summers only. We will be giving it till the end of September to see how things go 👍

Saturday was heaving and the carpark overflowing which was fantastic but a tough shift for a one man team on the Friday as the rest of the team were off on various wedding related celebrations which is fab 🎉

Chris managed to join Craig in the evening for one of the wedding celebrations of a good family friend and had a fab night however this meant the father & son duo were both struggling today with some self inflicted pain 🥴 so no sympathy!

Thankfully again it was busy so the day flew by and we’re thankful for all our fab visitors from far and wide 🙏

🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

This week a house call brought us out to deeside where we purchased a gorgeous selection of larger items including a Jacobean revival occasional chair, an early Edwardian lady’s writing bureau and a British art deco sideboard - somehow managed to squeeze all in the van 🚐

We had some fab customer drop offs which brought into the unit a massive selection of vintage vinyl, a lovely 1960s globe, a quirky designer salt & pepper shaker, chess piece and stunning art nouveau parlour sofa 🛋️

Team member craig has also been busy adding to the Clothes Corner where he priced up a selection of funky band ts! 👕

🎩🐶🗣️SUNDAY SUMMARY!🗣️🐶🎩

Another fantastic weekend down at our Balmedie Beach unit with Saturday being one of our best days to date 🤩 we can’t thank you enough 🙏

We had local musicians, fellow small business owners in. Long term regulars brining along their friends and family for their first OSV experience and as always a fresh batch of first time visitors coming from far and wide for a wonder around our aisles ❤️

Also a first for team member Chris when he was chatting away with a customer regarding a heavy unit he was interested in and would need assistance with. After 5 minutes of chatting, it hit Chris, he’s assisting lifting furniture down for his old school head teacher! 🧑‍🏫

This lead to some interesting chats and nostalgic memories before he headed to a nearby restaurant with his Mrs after his new unit was loaded up into the motor 🚗

🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

Goodevening to all! A very late new stock post as Chris was recruited last minute into a game of paddleball with dad Craig and his mates. Safe to say Chris will be a last resort call up going forward and is better suited to sourcing vintage furniture 😅

This week we have been busy undertaking various deliveries including an OG chest to its new happy customer who resided in a stately home like something out of the Bridgerton television show. Absolutely breathtaking and the lovely owners were kind enough to give us a tour, we dropped the chest off and thought we’d leave with an empty van but instead left half full! 😂

Earlier in the week we visited a home in a nearby village where we purchased a selection of beautiful coral 🪸, selection of religious pictures ✝️ and an assortment of standing lights and lamps 💡

Another home in the city centre we loaded up the van with boxes of vintage vinyl, a desk, mcm sideboard and two newspapers of the famous dons from the 70s and 80s of their glory days in fantastic condition for their age ⚽️🔴⚪️

Good evening to all, we hope you’ve had a fab weekend and are now at home relaxing as the weekends winds to an end 🧘‍♀️

As always a massive thank you to everyone who choose to spend part of your weekend with us down at OSV, your continued support of our small local business will never be taken for granted 🙏

Overall a busy weekend throughout with a nice steady flow of visitors yesterday and today absolutely buzzing with visitors at all times! No doubt today we had some extra visitors who were on route to or just leaving our amazing neighbours down at The Sand Bothy who put on another fantastic ‘Fun’draiser event down at the Bothy. 🎩🐶🚨NEW STOCK ALERT!🚨🐶🎩

Good evening to all, we hope you’re soaking up this sunny weather and excited for the weekend ahead 🙌 Lots of reasons to come visit Balmedie this weekend, in addition to our ever changing new stock, which we will detail soon, there is of course the famous Balmedie Beach Sand dunes.

On route to the dunes however our amazing neighbours down at the The Sand Bothy are worth a visit on their own every weekend all throughout summer. Providing tasty treats and a quality hot coffee before you hit the sand. The community run/volunteer group are regularly hosting spaces and events for locals and people further afield to make use of their building. Additionally they have some top quality knowledge and displays of all things beach related, like a mini museum of fun and curiosities. Importantly though… this Sunday they are hosting their Summer ‘Fun’draiser event from 12-4. There will be lots of stalls, games, entertainment for the whole family! Well worth a visit to support our fab neighbours before or after a venture to OSV 🏖️⛱️☀️

This week we started early visiting a home in cults where we purchased some unreal items and some so big… we had to hire a van! An absolutely magnificent large pine dresser/cabinet, stunning and delighted to have in the shop but not to transport it 😅 Addionally picking up a fan favourite in a architects/artists plan chest 🤩 also some gorgeous chest of drawers, cabinet and boho style headboard that if it doesn’t shift soon…. Will be coming home to one of the team members 🤫

Today we visited a home in the shire where we loaded up the van with a livingroom set and a selection of fav quirky smalls including skulls, vinyl, a chainsaw carved monkey, band posters and a pair of chiseled hopeman slate art 🐵

Another fab weekend down at our Balmedie Beach unit done & dusted with a steady steam of visitors across all 3 days 🙌
As always massive thank you to each and everyone of you who spent part of your weekend with us supporting a small local business 🙏

Over the weekend we purchased a fair few customer drop offs, we have a big visit lined up tomorrow where we are having to hire a van, some lovely big pieces incoming 👀

Some deliveries lined up also and we will continue to work through the ‘Clothes Corner’ we have some absolutely fantastic clothing incoming, just need to get through it! 👙👖🧣👗🧢👚
