Weekend Garden Job: Cut back your lavender 💜

If you haven't given your lavender a trim yet, now is the perfect time.

A light trim after flowering helps to:
✂️ Keep plants compact and tidy
🌿 Encourage healthy new growth
💜 Promote plenty of flowers next summer

A few simple tips:
• Trim off the spent flower stems.
• Shape the plant into a neat mound.
• Avoid cutting into old, woody stems, as these are much slower to produce new growth.

A few minutes spent now can keep your lavender looking its best for years to come.

Late summer doesn't always have to be about bold colour.

Sometimes it's the quieter combinations that make the biggest impression.

The graceful stems of Molinia 'Black Arrow' rise effortlessly above the soft, silvery-blue haze of Perovskia 'Blue Spire', creating a planting that is full of movement, texture and understated beauty. As the breeze catches the grasses, the whole display comes to life.

As we turn the page to August, we're taking a moment to look back at some of our favourite scenes from July.
From vibrant displays bursting with colour to peaceful strolls through our outdoor plant area, July brought the garden centre to life and reminded us just how special this season can be.
While summer is far from over, it's always nice to pause and appreciate the beauty the last few weeks have brought. Here's to making the most of everything late summer has to offer. 🌿
