It was lovely to welcome to the workshop again. Stan is a student , an apprentice and is representing the UK in cabinetmaking at this year’s (craft olympics) in Shanghai.
Stan has been training with last year’s gold medalist James Boyes MBE and popped in to pick up a few tools that will hopefully help him measure up to the judge’s requirements and give him an edge in the competition.

We’re delighted to be continuing our partnership with environmental charity, The Sylva Foundation, again this year. Together we will promote the craft, skills and woodland management practices to enable us to make more furniture from timber grown here in Britain for the future.
The collection has been crafted by nine students who completed the six-month professional training course at The Sylva Foundation. Working collaboratively, each student played a part in bringing these pieces to life, applying the skills and techniques developed throughout the course to create furniture that reflects both careful craftsmanship and considered design.
