National Cheeseburger Day! 🍔

Which can only mean one thing… a trip to Smash Cow Burgers at Lock29.

Their beef patties come from an independent, award-winning butcher in Yorkshire, using grass-fed, free-range cattle. Each patty is made with a blend of different beef cuts and dry-aged beef fat for even more flavour when it hits the griddle.

⏰When: 3rd & 4th October 2026, 11:00am - 5:00pm (both days)
📍Where: Banbury Town Centre, along the canal beside Castle Quay and The Mill Arts Centre

What to Expect:
⭐️ Canal Boat Rides - Take tours up and down the length of the festival!
⭐️ See a Range of Canal Boats - From the 'Village Butty' to the 'Dancing Duck', there will be multiple boats to see on the water!
⭐️ Live Theatre Performances - The Mill Arts Centre is providing an exciting lineup of performers!
⭐️ Music Stage - Entertaining acts representing a number of genres courtesy of Banbury Music Mix Radio!

Banbury Town Council is once again working with valued town partners including The Mill Arts Centre, Castle Quay, Banbury, Banbury Museum & Gallery, Tooley's Boatyard Trust Canal & River Trust, lock29.banbury, Banbury Music Mix Radio and more to bring you a true celebration of Banbury's Canal, which has run through the town since 1778!

Bingo Night at Lock29! 🎱

Grab your daubers, bring the family and get ready to shout BINGO - all while helping raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support 💚

Expect multiple rounds of bingo, brilliant prizes, a raffle and plenty of chances to win.

Plus, many of our food traders will be open, serving burgers, chips, crêpes, ice cream and more, so you can make a full evening of it.

🎟️ Tickets are just £5 per person and include all standard bingo games. (£6.13 incl. booking fee)

The event is being organised by local businesswomen Lisa and Emma, who are taking on the Birmingham HYROX challenge and aiming to raise £800 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Can’t make it? You can also add an optional donation when booking to help them get even closer to their target.
