Looking for something a little different to do this weekend? 🧵

Head along to the Sawmill at Milton of Crathes and become part of a unique community project by adding your own stitches to this incredible piece of embroidery which will end up hung at Waverly Station! 🚂

No booking or experience is needed. Simply pop into The Bothy between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, where Susie Finlayson Embroidery will be on hand to inspire and help you get started.

While you're there, browse the hand-dyed yarns by Bow Fiddle Yarns. Our personal favourite is the UV reflective!

If you're visiting Milton of Crathes this weekend for our two-day Craft & Producers Market, be sure to pop into the independent businesses based here and show them your support.

Open for just two weeks, Yolk General Store has already become a favourite with visitors. Owner Eryn has created a beautiful space filled with thoughtfully curated pantry goods, homewares, stationery, books, textiles, scents and seasonal treasures.

But why the name Yolk?

We asked Eryn to share the story behind it:

"The name Yolk reflects a lot of what I wanted the shop to feel like: warm, familiar, nourishing and memorable. It's about the centre of things – daily rituals, good objects, conversation and connection. It also has an abstract rural quality that felt right for the Farmhouse setting without leaning too heavily into Scottish clichés.

"That, and a link to a nickname my closest friends call me!"

Whether you're searching for a thoughtful gift, a treat for your home or simply a little inspiration, Yolk is well worth a visit this weekend. 💛
