Meet our volunteers !!
We are starting a new series to introduce you to our adorable volunteers here at the bookshop !
Since she is managing this page, Charlene goes first.
You might have notice some grammar and wording mistakes here ? Well, its all Charlene's fault. You see, the poor girl is... French. 😂
Charlene spends her summers here in Banff and loves books too much so when the sign "volunteers needed" appeared... She ran ! Her favourite kind of books are thrillers and historical fictions, like a good Alice Feeney, Louise Penny or Ken Follett. When she is not reading or sorting books, she loves painting watercolors, wandering at the seaside and spending time with her two kitties and husband (in that order).
In France, she works part time in the University in Strasbourg as an archaeologist and has a freelance job as a consultant as well.
If you are around the shop during the summer, come and say hi, she has a weird accent, but we promise, she is friendly 😂
