A welcoming place to play, learn and meet fellow hobby enthusiasts in the heart of Bangor. We’re a small family business that brings you a BIG selection of hobbies! Launched in October 2017, Hobby Shop is a new kind of shop that brings to the high street many items that are not normally found outside of the world-wide-web. With collectibles and merchandise imported from all around the world we always have something new to offer and we promise that many of the items we stock you will not see anywhere else. With a substantial amount of goods imported from Japan we carry a wide array of anime and manga goods ranging from action figures to statues, model kits to keychains and much more. Plus we stock an ever expanding line-up of collectible and trading card games such as Magic The Gathering, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragonball Super as well as board games, wargaming, and general hobby tools and accessories. If you can’t find what you want let us know and we will always see what we can do for you. While we might be pretty new to the high street we have over 26 years of experience in the hobby and collectible sector with many years of experience in the import, distribution and drop-shipping markets we have a wealth of product knowledge and sources to always offer a unique spin to what could be determined a hobby or collectible. We hope that you enjoy dealing with us both in store and online.

📢 Event Entry Price Update – From 1st September

We’ve recently taken some time to review the cost of running our regular organised play events.

Unfortunately, like most things, the costs involved in running events have increased considerably since we last reviewed our entry prices. We’ve tried to absorb these increases for as long as possible, but to make sure we can continue offering the same level of support for our events, we’ll be making a small change from 1st September.

🎟️ Standard event entry will increase from £6.50 to £7.00.

This applies to our regular Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Star Wars: Unlimited events.

The format will remain the same, including a regular booster pack with entry, along with the usual additional prize support where applicable.

Our Friday Magic: The Gathering events will remain at £2 entry.

We’ve deliberately kept the increase as small as possible, and £7 will be our standard entry price for the time being.

Thank you, as always, to everyone who comes along each week and supports our events and gaming communities. ❤️

New prices take effect Tuesday 1st September.
