An exceptional and rare Begium Art Nouveau chandelier in the style of and possibly by Gustave Serrurier-Bovy. The patinated hand-wrought iron structural frame featuring a prominent openwork architectural cage at the upper central pillar. Three dynamic, sweeping whiplash arms project symmetrically from the central axis. The ironwork exhibits a masterful tension between organic, fluid curves and rigid, architectural stability, mimicking natural structural forms without excessive floral ornamentation. Each arm terminates in an integrated, deeply chaliced openwork metal gallery and original art nouveau tulip lampshade. The glass with a soft satin finish and hand-painted art nouveau decoration to the rim. Belgium c.1900-05
