Hello Everyone,
We received so many wonderful donations again last week ranging from food to medical items and medicines; Incontinence pants and sanitary wear to bedding and toiletries to tools.
Thank you so much to both new and regular doners who continue to surprise us with their magnificant generosity.

Sadly again this week Ukraine was subject to so many Drones and missiles, but according to some reports the Ukrainian Army are defending their country with new technology and a strong will to survive - Russia is certainly not having it all their own way.

We are open to receive your donations every Saturday between10.00 until 3.00.p.m at Stonebridge Farm, Wolvershill Road, Banwell. BS29 6DR. - Thank You

With best wishes,
Sue and Pam

Hello Everyone,

Sadly Mum (Betty) passed away peacefully on Monday after a short stay in hospital.
Mum was the instigator in collecting Aid for Ukraine here at the farm. Having grown up during the second world war she was all too aware the impact of war has on people and their lives. She would say "we just can't sit here and do nothing, we have to do what we can".
We will continue with Mum's legacy and hope that you will also help in bringing donations. The priority list will be posted next week.

We are remaining closed this Saturday 9th May but will reopen again on 16th May between 10.00.a.m and 3.00.p.m for donations.

Hello Everyone,
We are now able to open again, thanks to financial donations received during the last few weeks, and to Alan, Terry and Pam loading their vans meeting the lorry at 7am in Bridgwater last Saturday. A 40 ft lorry was loaded by volunteers during a 5 hour period, with everything from Fire Extinguishers to food; medical equipment to household items - including Pots and Pans, crockery, bedding and microwaves - to pet food; generators to an electric wheelchair to support a young man who had lost both legs after walking on a landmine. We would very much like to give more electric scooters and wheelchairs to help others in a similar situation. So if you have or know of any others to donate, please give us a call to arrange a collection.

Sadly, we can no longer accept and send any clothes. New rules in Poland dictate any weight over 10Kgs now requires customs forms and many headaches!! Perhaps in time there may be a solution ??- we'll keep you informed.

Times continue to be challenging for many people and we are very grateful for all the support you have given over many months. Food is especially needed, if you are shopping perhaps buy 2 tins of beans, or 2 packs of noodles or 2 packets of pasta - maybe consider 1 for Ukraine and the other for your local Food Bank left in the Supermarket bins/crates - this would help a lot.

We are open to receive your donations every Saturday between 10.00.a.m. and 3.00.p.m at Stonebridge Farm, Wolvershill Road, Banwell. BS29 6DR

Many thanks for your kindness and generosity.

Hello Everybody,

Thank you for your continued support.

Whilst there is some movement of aid to Ukraine, it will take time to catch up with all of the stored donations both here and at Bridgwater.
Unfortunately, we will remain closed this weekend, but hope to open again soon.
In the meantime, electric wheelchairs and scooters; food, medical provisions, pumps to bail out water in the trenches, adult male wellington boots and funding remain the highest priorities. We will of course keep you updated.

Sue at Bridgwater has given a detailed breakdown of costs for transporting your donations to Ukraine.
Huge thanks to everyone who has donated and raised funds so far.
Just over a week ago we sent 2 Artic lorries and one 18t truck;

Insurance for all 3 was £850

Broker fee for T1 £145 per truck

Fuel approximately £700 per truck to the destination city.

Tunnel crossing £330 per truck

Puncture €1,400

Driver time £0

Return travel £100 x 3

Vehicle tax £1,400 of which I should get back about £1,100.

You can see the money I receive to help pay for these trips is absolutely vital

Thanks to everyone for their support 🙏❤️🇺🇦

Happy Easter.

Can you help?

We desperately need more electric wheelchairs and scooters for 12 veterans, two of whom are shown below with their Unit Chaplin. Having lost limbs, these men are left socially isolated and without any chance of living independently or making further contributions to their country's defense.

If you have any no longer required electric wheelchairs or scooters please give us a call on 07983533944 to arrange a collection.

Many thanks for your continued generosity and kindness.

Hello Everyone
Thank you to all those who have made a financial contribution to help with the transportation to Ukraine of all the various items you have kindly donated. The picture below is of a very packed lorry that left for Ukraine several weeks ago. The volunteers have got the packing down to a fine art !

Special thanks to Bill and Joan who kindly donated a mobility scooter and an electric wheelchair and also to Fiona for donating another electric wheelchair.
These substantial donations will help soldiers who have lost limbs to continue helping with the war effort.

Liz and her colleagues from Highbridge Caravans donated camping cookers, ground sheets and 15 tents some of which will be made into stretchers to carry the wounded from the front line.

Unfortunately, Stonebridge Farm is full and until there is sufficient funding to get the lorries moving again, we cannot accept any donations this Saturday 28th March. We will let you know when we can open again.

But in the meantime, if you would like to make a donation to help with the ever increasing transport costs please go to https://gofund.me/518222a7 don't forget to zero the tip.
£5 will help a lot when added together with other financial donations to make a real significant difference.

Thank you all, so much, for your ongoing support.

Hi Everyone,
Again, there were so many wonderful donations last Saturday which when boxed filled all of our storage areas!
Unfortunately, this means though, we cannot receive donations again until there is sufficient funds to drive lorries into Ukraine. The increasing price of fuel is impacting everything and making it even more difficult for us to move aid.
On the brighter side, we have also received some financial donations which will really help. If you would like to donate money, £5.00 can make all the difference. please use this link https://gofund.me/518222a7 (but zero the Tip): - thank you.

As the war continues, more civilians and military personnel are losing limbs, so if you have an unwanted motorised scooter or electric wheelchair in your garage, even if it needs repairs, please consider donating it to Somerset Aid for Ukraine - as you can see from the pictures below it can make a huge difference to individuals whose lives have changed for ever.

Thank you for your continued support.
