Following the closure of The Set Piece we are pleased to be able to continue servicing watches with batteries and straps at SDS Discount on Thursdays 10.30 to 11.30, pictured below. It is diagonally opposite where The Set Piece was on Beach Road; this is now where Carrie's is to be found serving lovely food and drinks.

Watches will be serviced on Thursdays; should there be a need to speak with me I will be at SDS Discount between 10.30 and 11.30 on Thursdays.

Watches can be safely left at SDS Discount for collection later and I will message to confirm completion of work; the watches left will be serviced on Thursdays.

There is a form to complete when watches are left and this is shown below.

The Set Piece has closed for the final time after 48 years of trading. My mother retired from the shop itself 21 years ago and now Liz and myself are following her into retirement.
We all would like to thank our customers for the support over the years. We would also like to express our gratitude for the very kind well wishes that have been extended to us during our closing down of the shop. Thank you.

Many will be relieved that our watch services will be relocating on Beach Road, this will commence February 2026. Details will follow in due course.

The dolls house stock is getting smaller, it is all half price with a total retail value now just shy of £180, this drops to just under £90 with the 50% reduction. £45 is a massive deal for everything.

A small amount of dolls house items left; to be precise, £198.15 at normal retail price. We are reducing item price by 50% so this would come down to a total of £99; for the whole lot we would accept £70.

A fine glass mounted on a nicely weighted pewter base with a philosophical quote by Heraclitus; not a local I think. Was £34, now £10.

A solid sterling silver babies bangle. It was £34, now £20.

Something from the depths of our cellar. A slate SHOVE-HA'PENNY board. It needs some cleaning / renovation. Certainly not Chinese slate, in my opinion it may well be Welsh slate but can only be sure it is manufatured in Britain. 'THE CHALLENGER' is engraved, the discs are not with the board so a search for ha'pennies would give the game original character. Rules of the game are included. £20.
