I've just made my first Ventile belt pouch.

Handmade in the UK using genuine L34 Ventile fabric (170g/m²).
This is the legendary, ultra-dense 100% cotton fabric originally engineered for WWII pilots.

It is stitched with industrial grade Coats Epic 120 core spun polyester thread.
Critical seams are double stitched for added strength.

The closed pouch measures 15cm x 20cm (approx).

It features a roll top for additional protection from the elements, fastened with two solid brass press studs.

The belt loop measures 45mm deep (approx), and is designed to fit a standard 25mm belt.

To increase the water resistance this pouch is lined with a second layer of L34 Ventile fabric.

When it rains, the long-staple cotton fibres swell to create an all-natural, highly water-resistant barrier that keeps your gear dry.

The pouch can be washed at at 30 °C.

I've just completed a custom order for a 65cm x 45cm Harris Tweed and waxed cotton sit mat.

The customer requested an extra-wide border (35mm....the standard size is 17.5mm).

I think it looks great, and really enhances the look of the sit mat.

I recently made this Black Watch tartan sit mat as custom order.

It's handmade in the UK using UK manufactured 8oz antique waxed cotton (navy blue) and genuine Black Watch Tartan Harris Tweed, using high quality Coats Moon polyester thread.

I liked it so much that I decided to produce a small batch, which is now available in my Etsy shop.

I recently made one of these sleeve beds as a custom order for a regular customer.

I was so impressed with the design, that I've put it into production!

The design was inspired by Horace Kephart, one of the pioneers of bushcraft, in his classic 1916 book "Camping and Woodcraft".

It can be used as a sleeve bed, sleeping bag or "browse bed", or even a tarp shelter.

The sleeve bed is 220cm long x 150cm wide (approx), and weighs a hefty 5.5kg (approx).

A returning customer who'd previously bought two of my waxed cotton tinder pouches requested something a little larger, to hold an A4 sized notepad and various Ordnance Survey maps.

I was happy to oblige with this custom order.

It features a roll top for additional protection from the elements, fastened with three solid brass press studs.

To increase the water resistance this pouch is lined with high quality 100% cotton fabric (sand) with water and oil repellent qualities.

The pouch is water resistant, and is easily re-proofed to preserve the look of the fabric and its waterproof qualities.
