If you’re Celiac or Gluten Intolerant get yourselves to the new Bakery in Wakefield. Everything baked fresh for that day. I called yesterday but it was after dinner so only got a couple of bits. I had the Pan Au Chocolate for Breakfast this morning re heated in the Airfryer & I could have cried it was that nice, just like eating “normal” food.
So off we go again today, huge huge queues so I wasn’t sure if there would be anything left again but just look at these beauties 🤤🤤 I can’t wait for my next visit but this time I’ll be there for opening time 🤣 Unglutened Bakers

My amazing customers this is unfortunately another please bear with me post..

My gorgeous little nanna who has Alzheimer’s has had a really bad fall this morning.

What started as me thinking that I would be just nipping up to check on her led to an 8 hour wait for an Ambulance- 8 hour wait is absolutely shocking for a vulnerable frail elderly patient who’s had a fall & was sat in a chair for that 8 hours unable to move!!

A trip to Barnsley hospital & X-ray’s confirmed a full break to her right hip. So operation tomorrow for a half hip replacement 😢 huge for a very frail nearly 90 year old.

I honestly cannot thank Staff at Anchor - Oakwood Grange for not just looking after my nanna all day but me too. The fantastic Paramedics who came out for her & the amazing Staff at barnsleyhospital for the care & support my Nanna has received today. Forever grateful to you all.
Thank you to the Husband for coming straight from work to be there for us both.

My Nanna will always be a main priority for me & I will work on your lovely orders when I can.

The temperature in my sun trap of a back garden is hitting 40 degrees & I work in the conservatory 🥵
So working with an iron, heat press & mountains of stuffing is a tad warm 🫠

When you get a message from your friend saying can you make me a Cat for a friend in America in memory of her Cat. My response of course was yes!!!
So after back & forth deliberation on the perfect fabric & pattern we were set to go.

The fabric came all the way from Hong Kong
The pattern is from Australia (Funky Friends Factory) but bought online.
Then he was on his travels to the States with lots of other goodies.
Stuck in customs for over 11 days before he was on his final destination.

It’s not often that I’m able to fit in a rush order, as I’m usually fully booked and it’s important to be fair to the customers who have already secured their place.

But this little bear came with the saddest story, one that truly touched my heart. 😢

Sometimes, certain projects mean a little more, and this was one of them.

With a turnaround time that was probably the quickest I’ve ever worked to, and some particularly tricky fabric to navigate, there were definitely challenges along the way. But I knew this bear needed to be made.

He’s now finished and on his journey home, ready to provide the comfort, love, and precious connection he was always intended to bring. ❤️
