This week something new happened at Lucho Bakes.
We received two microbakers who came to learn from us Amy Bricknell and Nic from the Noisy Table Micro Bakery.
It something we wanted to do for a while, and now we feel we have the knowledge, the time, the team and the perfect place to do it.
It isn't a cookery school, it's not to come and learn how to make bread, but to improve what they do and how they do it. We learnt from our own mistakes, we improved, we created a fantastic team and implemented systems they are solid and make our lives easier.
They are growing their business and they hit bottlenecks and challenges and we might have some answers that'll help them. We went through what they do and have our point of view of what could they do different.
It was hands on, fun and intense. It's full on, they step in a fully working bakery that isn't stopping for the teaching. The rhythm of a bakery can be brutal and they saw what they want to do in the future and also their limits.
It was such an enriching experience for everyone, and we hope everyone got the most of it.
The feedback has been very positive so far, they said this is like nothing offered out there.
You can go for a working experience, where they'll put to do some tasks, you can go to baking classes (some of them like Wayne Caddy are phenomenal), our system sits in the middle, they decide how much they want to get involved, they decide their limits, and we share information of the insides of a business like ours that will be hard to get anywhere else.
Thanks Amy for the photos, such a professional job Amy Bricknell and thanks to Andreia Santos and Luna_ Lucho Bakes for their share in this. Megan 🌻 wasn't there as she was on holidays.
