Beatsworkin forever… well, in spirit anyway.
It’s been 18 months, and I’d like to ask the Beats family a little favour.
It’s been a really positive start to the Chapplefield chapter of my work. I’ve made sales both at home and abroad — Australia, Europe and the USA.
Yep… I even had to pay the import tariffs. Ha ha.
But I’m at the point now where I need more material — specifically used skateboard decks — to keep making, experimenting and growing the work.
I’ve arranged a couple of local drop-off points, and the idea is to try and create a little positive ecosystem around it too: supporting independent skate stores locally, while giving those precious old decks another life.
So, if you’ve got old decks gathering dust, you can drop them into Grind Supply in Bideford or Patinar in Braunton. I’ll make a donation back to the stores, and in turn help support what they do for skateboarding locally.
Or hit me up directly and we can do a trade, swap something, or I’ll give you a few quid towards that Safeway Saver lemonade we all need at the park.
When I was a kid it was 10p for two litres.
Different times. 😂
Anyway — if you’ve got old decks, however battered, snapped or sentimental, give me a shout.
Glenn. ❤️
