We've reached the end of the penultimate day of Appledore Book Festival - and what a great day it was! We had some wonderful events with Jeremy Vine, Nick Arnold, CQgardens by Caroline Quentin, Gordon Buchanan, Minette Batters and Frank Gardner - we have signed copies of their books in our pop-up bookshop while stocks last.

Tomorrow is the last day of the festival so make sure you come over for a lovely bookish day.

We have had another wonderful day at Appledore Book Festival, with fascinating events from Andrew Wilson, , Rachel Stirling, Mary Portas and Peter Ricketts. Plus the most exciting schools event with Louie Stowell, which was full of children excited about books. Signed copies are available in our pop-up festival bookshop while stocks last.

The day was topped off by the most fabulous sunset and we're looking forward to another great day tomorrow!

We have had a fabulous day at Appledore Book Festival, with events from Frances tophill, Jules Hudson, Liz Earle MBE, Shehan Hettiaratchy, Helen Bain, Pam Ayres and Tim Marshall. There are signed copies available in our pop-up festival shop while stocks last.

We can't wait to do it all again tomorrow - we'll be open from 10am.

We have had a very busy day moving our pop-up Appledore Book Festival bookshop from St Mary's Hall to the Gulls' Nest Tent at Skern Lodge.

As you can see, we had a lot of books to move but our cosy bookshop is now open! We'll be here from 10am until the end of the festival day each day for the rest of the festival - come and say hello (Croyde Coffee are right next door so you can have a drink as you browse!).

We finished our day Appledore Book Festival yesterday with an amazing conversation with Clare Leslie Hall discussing her bestselling novel Broken Country, the Festival Big Summer Read as part of the 2026 National Year of Reading.
