Great news ❤️

We're delighted to confirm that Aurs Road will re-open to drivers from 10am this Friday (29 May).

The work to complete the road has provided a much-improved driving route between Barrhead and Newton Mearns, and there is also now a 30mph speed limit in place to further increase safety.

The active travel route and waterside promenade parts of the project are nearing completion, and these will open to the public over the summer. Whilst the footpath, segregated cycle lane and car parks are closed, finalised details about when these will open will be announced soon.
