The most recent one posted only this morning. I ask all my customers for a review. They are never edited and no reviews are deleted. All reviews are as written by my wonderful customers.

Some hidden issues on bikes this week. The quick release lever had been put back with all the bits in the wrong order and the spring was back to front. The gear cable as you can see was in a bit of a state and only hanging on by three of the wire threads.
The workshop at ROVR-Cycles is getting busier by the day, so now is the perfect time to book your bikes in for some TLC.

Festive 500 complete. I've ridden 508km since Christmas Eve. Furthest North, Little Downham. Furthest west and south, Luton Airport. Furthest East, Ely.

I'd like to wish my customers a very Merry Christmas.

ROVR-Cycles will be open until 2pm on Christmas Eve and by appointment only between the 27th and 31st of December. We will be closed for New Years day and will reopen fully on the 2nd of January.

Just a couple of problems found on bikes in the workshop this week. The disc brake pads looked fine until I removed them to complete a caliper service. The chainstay fracture was hidden under a layer of old bike oil. These are two good reasons to keep on top of bike cleaning and general maintenance.

1. Check your bike for loose fittings by bouncing it on the back wheel and tighten them.
2. Keep your chain clean and oiled or waxed.
3. Pump up your tyres to at least the minimum recomended inflation pressure.
4. Have a thorough look at your tyres and remove any bits of stone or thorns that you see. This is easier if the tyres are a bit soft.
If you don't have time, I do these as part of my standard full bike safety check, and its free.
And finally
5. Wash your bike at least once every couple of months.
