Every Wednesday is fresh produce delivery day for Tuk's Thai Foods! The variety, and aroma, is amazing and a lot of what she sells - such as Holy Basil - is sourced direct from Thailand and can't be bought anywhere else in Cumbria!

She also has all the sauces, pastes and spices to turn her fresh vegetables and fruits into the perfect dish. If you are tempted but don't know where to begin, Tuk is on hand to offer her advice on how to put together an amazing meal!

Today is Jacqui and Tony’s last day as part of the team at Barrow Market. With a combined service with the Council of 52 years, both have certainly earned a long and happy retirement.

Dave Day checklist for Barrow Town Hall

Live music from 2pm to 7pm ✅
Local Pies ✅
Local Beer (and other drinks!) ✅

We're proud to announce that we'll be operating a bar and food stalls in the courtyard at the rear of Barrow Town Hall on Dave Day, which is only 10 days away!

We're also putting on some musical entertainment, as we aim to show the town at its best to the bikers who are coming, and the thousands of local people who'll come out to greet them.

From 2pm we'll have a DJ set from CandoFM legend Jonny Williams followed by popular local performer, Becki Fishwick - The Vintage Songstress

After Becki we've got Emma Howarth on the saxophone, and then headliners The Daisy & The Diva Band will close the show by around 7pm — just in time for people to head off to the other events that are happening in various pubs and clubs across the town.

Throughout the day we will have a full bar service, which will include local ales by Ulverston Brewery. And we'll be serving pies from local bakers.

What better way to celebrate Dave's memory than with a local pie and a pint!
