I’ve had a few messages recently asking if I’m ok, and honestly yes! I’m well, and thank you for thinking of me 🙂

Since closing the shop it’s been a whirlwind of activity, from sorting out the house, my wardrobe, travelling to Ibiza for Mr Stitches 40th, tending to the garden and starting a new job - life has been brilliant yet exhausting all at once 🤪

I’ve had some time to sew, and I knew that when I snaffled the very last of this gorgeous Saltwater linen viscose it was destined to be something for my holiday wardrobe.

I settled on the Lockhart dress from Helen's Closet - it’s a simple, yet beautifully thought out pattern which gives the option of a dress with 3 lengths, a jumpsuit and narrow or wide straps.

With the princess seams I was able to adjust the bodice fit so it’s super comfy & I’m so happy with it! 🌊

I’ve been busy adding a few bits of fabric to my Stash Hub | Sewing Organiser App today, it’s about all I’ve got the energy for in this heat! 🥵

From top to bottom:

🪡 Embroidered Cotton - This has been lurking for a few years (we had this fabric in the first shop!) - I’m planning to make a Tilly and the Buttons | Learn to sew with easy sewing patterns top.

👔 Striped Cotton Shirting - A little remnant I kept for myself, 100% cotton shirting with a smooth handle, this will hopefully become a Sew Over It

🌸 Embroidered Double Gauze - I had to snag some of this from my final fabric delivery, it’s so beautiful! I’ve got 1.8M (was 2M but the pre wash bunched it up a fair bit! I’m undecided what to make yet… either a blouse or I might squeeze a little PJ set out of it

🌊 Linen Viscose Slub in Saltwater - This COLOUR!!! I want to make a dress for our family holiday in August… I’ve got 3.5M, suggestions welcome!

I just wanted to pop in and say hi, and that I’m doing ok! 💜

We are on holiday in Ibiza right now for Mr Stitches 40th and boy have we partied 🕺

Anyway, I’m popping in to share this gorgeous from THAT CRAFTY STITCH 🧶 - I grabbed the kit as soon as the pattern was released.

I’ve embellished her with a cute scalloped hem and a scattering of paillettes (big sequins!)

It’s nice to create, without pressure 🥰

I’m searching for the words to sum up the final social stitchers session yesterday, and all I can find is “thank you”.

Thank you to this wonderful group of talented, creative, kind and amazing women for being a part of the Jenny Stitches journey.

Thank you for the belly laughs, the singing, the impromptu catwalks, the cake & all the creative inspiration.

We’ve created something special here that won’t be lost - it just won’t have a handy award winning fabric shop attached to it any more 😝
