The Model Train Centre Hello, we are The Model Train Centre. A model railway specialist shop based in Barrowford, Lancashire. Set within the Clarks Home & Garden store.

We are open 6 days a week and specialise in N & 00 scale, although we do stock a small range of 0 scale.

We have just taken in some really nice pre-owned N scale sets which are currently being prepared for display.
These include an 11 pce EWS class 37 (37408) wagon set. A class 47 plus 13 mixed load BR Railfrieght set. Something more modern is a lovely class 90 Virgin " Pretendalino" 7 pce set. Whilst not forgetting you steam buffs, we have a GWR branch line 6 pce coach set in chocolate & cream.

The rain has well & truly set in, so now is the perfect time to get modelling again.
We are open Sundays down in Barrowford from10.00am - 4.00pm to simply have a browse or ask for some advice as well as buying the next piece of the jigsaw that makes up your layout.

We have moved !

Our new address is 2 Roughlee Street, Barrowford, BB9 8TZ.

We are now on the ground floor inside Clarks Home & Garden.

We are almost ready, (although the shop is open) the shelfs are being filled, stock put away and a new feature being planned !

Exhibition time is here again.
This weekend we are at Doncaster racecourse for the annual BRM model show.
Over 30 layouts and 60 exhibitors to look at. The Doncaster show is always well supported and is one of the best shows in the North of England, well worth a visit.

Pendle Forest Model Railway Society are holding their annual exhibition at Park High School again this year. The dates are slightly later this year, with it being held on Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th November. We will be in attendance along with other traders and many layouts.

Building a small(ish) yard for a customer. Diesal & Heritage steam in 00 gauge.
Baseboards, in two halves completed Track being laid, going to be wired for DCC with point motors controlled in conjuction with a mimic panel.
Room for a canal at the back and a service road at the front.
