Not only our last day open before Christmas, it's the last day open for our little shop.
After 5 1/2 years, we have decided to close. During that time we have made many new friends both customers and suppliers, thank you all for your loyalty and support. We will still be open online and hope to have some new and exciting products in the New Year. So in the meantime, to all of you near and far, thank you for 2023, have a Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year.

Tickets for the Barton Community Choir Christmas Concert on Saturday 9th December in Barton Village Hall are on sale now!

As well as music from the choir, covering pop, jazz, rock, classical and showtime and a second half of festive Christmas music, there will be performances from 5 of our Bursary winners, 3 of which are from this year’s awards, showcasing a range of instruments including clarinet, drums, piano and saxophone.

Also performing is a 10 year old girl from Birmingham representing our charity OHMI who will be playing an adapted one handed flute.

The proceeds from the concert support our charitable contributions to both the OHMI Trust and funding music lessons and support to local school children via our bursary awards scheme.

Please come along and support our Village Community Choir for a night of varied musical performances, and there is even a chance for some audience participation too.

Tickets are £10 adult and £5 children and are an available from Barton Post Office.

Jack the scarecrow is climbing the Beanstalk this weekend at Barton Family Festival. Come and say “Hi” and if you are lucky Jack will give you a bag of Jelly Beans. Thanks in Darlington they are really yummy.

It is five years, this weekend, that we opened our little village gift and homeware shop.
Like many small businesses, we have had our challenges over the years, but we are still here.
Many thanks to our customers and suppliers who have supported us both locally and far and wide.
To commemorate this historic event, please visit us in our Barton under Needwood shop or online to see our Anniversary Event Sale for the month of June.

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm all ready for a right royal weekend ! Yes, it's Bartie Bear here - I'm all set to enjoy the celebrations - with some honey sandwiches I hope - and then it will be back to work to tell you all about this year's Festival. It's on September 2nd and 3rd and we'll have our bear-illiant teddy rides, super scarecrows, scrumptious cakes and much much more ! And if you ask me that looks like being Barton's crowning glory ! if you'd like to help out at the Festival come along to St James' Church, Barton at 10am on Monday, May 8th to find out more. 👑 🐾
