Bill went to the Home & Gift Show looking for new ideas...

We found plenty of inspiration, discovered some exciting new products, and even picked up a few ideas we'd love to bring back to Deepdale.

We also discovered that Bill has a habit of becoming part of the displays!

Whether he was directing visitors, posing in giant wellies, squeezing into a picture frame or relaxing in an oversized deckchair, he seemed to feel right at home! 😄

Keep an eye on our pages over the coming months—you might just spot some of the inspiration from Harrogate arriving at Deepdale.

Bill says the best way to survive this heat is to stay in the shade...

We think he's forgotten about Tucker's Ice Cream. 🍦😄

Made locally using fresh cream and home-churned butter, it's the perfect way to cool down after a stroll around the garden centre.

Or why not try one of our favourites? A scoop of Tucker's ice cream in a coffee cup with a shot of freshly brewed Blending Room coffee poured over the top.

We mentioned the other day that the road to Deepdale Garden Centre was to be closed for three days for works to be carried out.

We sent our glorious leader down to check up on the extensive works that require a three day road closure.

Bill brought back the evidence.

We have no words, and so are asking for your captions to sum up the results of a three day road closure!

It's officially the hottest June on record... and Bill has clearly been standing in the sun too long.

He's decided that a huge range of our beautiful flowering perennials are just £8.99 each... or 3 for only £20! 🌸🌼🌿

Whether you're after pollinator-friendly blooms, dazzling colour, or something to brighten a sunny border, there's never been a better time to fill the garden.

Our only advice?
💧 Water yourself.
💧 Water your plants.
💧 Then come and rescue a few more before Bill comes to his senses!

We'll be here all weekend with the nursery looking glorious, the Bike & Bean Café serving refreshing drinks and homemade treats, and plenty of shady spots to pause for a while.

The forecast says dull and grey, but our plant team didn't get the memo!

We've got bright blooms, cheerful gifts, fairy houses ready for new tenants, and enough colour to convince you it's June after all.

🐝 NEW STAFF AT DEEPDALE 🐝

The café and nursery teams have been busy this spring, so we were delighted when Bill our glorious leader announced he was recruiting some extra workers.

Naturally, we asked how many.

"About 40,000," he replied.

We were slightly concerned!

A few days later, a queen and 40,000 workers arrived, and suddenly it all made sense. 🐝👑

Deepdale now has its very own bee colony, settling into life among the flowers and getting straight to work.

Bill has pointed out the new recruits are:

✅ Hard working
✅ Highly organised
✅ Excellent team players
✅ Completely devoted to their queen
✅ Never stop talking about flowers

🍯 Deepdale honey is officially on the way...

We're still not entirely convinced about the new staff uniform, though... 😆

There is an old saying:

“Plant colour. Grow joy.”

And after months of growing, watering, feeding, deadheading, moving trays around, and keeping an eye on the weather… we’re pleased to announce the joy part has arrived. 🌸

Many of the plants you’ll find at Deepdale have been grown right here by Matt and our nursery team.

The plant area is looking especially beautiful at the moment.

Come and have a wander this weekend 🌿
