Hello! It’s been a while 👋

I’ve been pretty quiet on O/F/A over the last few years because I went back to university to study for a Fine Art BA. I’m now heading into my final year, and it’s been such a rewarding experience.

Alongside my studies, I’ve been making hand-tufted rugs and textile wall hangings, which has grown into my new creative venture, .

My work draws on my love of vintage aesthetics, creating playful, nostalgic textiles, with plans to expand into ceramics and other functional and decorative homewares over time.

👋 Hello, It’s been a while!
The reason for my instagram silence is that I have returned to full time education.
I am bloody loving my course and therefore everything else has fallen away a little.
That being said I am still spotting lovely vintage wares and my storage space is full to capacity.
To aid in a good old clear out I will be bringing loads of these items to this weekends in Bristol, including some super reduced prices.
As my art & design study continues to take over my time instagram will be taking a back burner.
Though be sure to check out my Etsy shop and the shop as any new finds will be added straight up there for purchase.

Sylvia Edwards 1937 - 2018
Born in Boston USA, Sylvia Edwards studied painting and illustration in Boston at the Museum of Fine Arts School and the Massachusetts College of Art.

She lived in Iran for fourteen years before moving to Switzerland and then London. She drew on her wide travels as an illustrator and journalist as a source of inspiration for her paintings.
Her work is richly decorative, a quality she ascribed to her years spent in Iran in close appreciation of Islamic Art. She was equally clear about the influences of Klee Rothko Matisse and Milton Avery on her work.

Chunky wooden hand turned plinths. Perfect for candles, plants, vases, basically anything you wish to display!
They look like they have been made in someone’s tool shed with love. Covered in thick candle wax drips they are ‘lived in’ and have a great aesthetic even before you add your items on top.

There are 3 in total and obviously have to go as a set.
The are solid wood so heavy.

Clay rounded very large pot.

Perfect for plants or just as a centre piece on your table or shelf.
In a dark assortment of brown shades with black patches and rough patterns scraped into the wet clay. It has a round bottom and comes with a wicker round stand to place the pot, which means you can tilt the pot in any direction.
No makers mark, just some beautiful Studio pottery by someone out there!

Opening 6.5”
